Well you can't get a good man down (or woman, lets not forget Delores!).
David Shayler, the poor man's David Icke, has popped up in the general election campaign down in one of his old stomping grounds - Totnes in Devon. Yesterdays Guardian spotted the white coated one campaigning for an 'independent' candidate Stephen Hopwood. In a move that could have been designed to remind us all of the importance of the National Health Service, Mr Hopwood is apparently a practitioner of complimentary medicine.
Hopwood's website announces he is standing on a single issue - truth. Given the trouble David Shayler has had with the concept over the years, it is perhaps a good idea for the two men to get together! Only a few weeks ago Hopwood was to be found speaking with another former MI5 officer (is a pattern emerging here) Annie Machon at the Totnes truth festival. Well you will certainly get a form of truth out of Agent Annie Dr Hopwood, the trouble is there is usually another, entirely different truth along half an hour later!
