This Tuesday, 30th June, the BBC's Conspiracy Files turns its attention to the 7/7 'truth' movement.

A one hour programme is scheduled, which is set to examine the campaigners themselves, and those who recognise the dangers such theories provide. Lets see what Tuesday evening has to offer.....

Nick Kollerstrom Returns To The Fray

Excellent work by the ever busy Johnny Void, on the reappearence of vile anti-semite and 7/7 'truther' Nick Kollerstrom.

Pity poor Conway Hall, where the South Place Ethical Society has had to suffer the goons of Al-Muhijiroun and Kollerstrom in less than a month. Anyway, it now seems Kollerstrom has pulled his event - sadly there will no doubt be other venues for him. 

Lets keep up the opposition though - as the 'truth' movement cannot seemingly deal with the racists in its own ranks - others will have to.

Every Wondered Why Truthers Get On With Each Other?

Even when they appear to hold totally divergent views?

Damian Thompson's excellent Counterknowledge offers us a suggestion as to why. 

"An author who believes that Stonehenge was built by Aztecs will cheerfully recommend the work of someone who thinks it was built by the Priory of Sion, because they both recognise their real enemy as orthodox scholarship".  p.79

In other words it is not the theory that matters, just the fact that it is an alternative theory. Sad isn't it?

Exploring Evidence? Or Exploring Bank Balances?

Those enjoying a relaxing Sunday afternoon in Brick Lane today had their slumber interrupted by a sales pairing from London's 'truth' movement. 

The purpose of this leaflet was to promote the July 7th (nudge, nudge) Exploring Evidence summit to be held at Logan Hall, WC1H. In fact the term summit appears a little over the top for what simply appears to be two speakers hawking their wares, with the usual Q & A session.  That's nothing however compared to the over the top pricing for the event. 

Long gone it seems are the days of Belinda McKenzie's capacious handbag sponsoring everything from the living expenses of MI5 officers cum truth activists to visiting speakers from the Icelandic 'truth' movement. In these days of harsh economic realities, to hear Prof Niels Harrit and Dr Kevin Barrett speak will cost you a whopping £15 according to the promotional leaflet I received today, whilst the Exploring Evidence website has the tickets priced at a wallet busting £20. 

The truth may be out there, but it sure ain't cheap..... 

Wishful Thinking?

9/11 truth activists may also wish to note that Al Qaeda member Uthman al-Harbi fiercely rejected any possibility of 'truth' theories being valid, during his behind the wire conversations with Begg. Which perhaps explains why Begg has proved immune to 'truth' activists approaches during his developing career on the speaker circuit since his return to the UK. 

Shayler Watch: The Squatting Continues

David Shayler has now had more changes of image than David Bowie!

The man who once rode roughshod over the law and civil liberties as an MI5 officer, and lambasted Anarchists as a threat to public health, continues to ham it up as ....... a squatter in Guildford. For local press reports on this bizarre development, go here.

Lets hope that those currently working with David have managed to broaden his outlook on life a little from the somewhat narrrow views he has held in the past. Oh - and make sure he pays his way, even Messiah's can find cash machines if they look hard enough.

That's One 9/11 Conspiracy Theory Nailed

Dick Cheney has finally admitted that there was no connection between Saddam Hussein and 9/11.
