Silent Minority

Hi Paul,
I wish you'd rewrite this spelling out the position to someone who is open to learning but already au fait with the politics around it. There are some in Birmingham who would like to defend secularism in the schools and who don't want to whitewash the problems but are also rightly worried about Gove's agenda to further destroy state education through giving more powers to Ofsted, forcing schools to become academies, encouraging more decentralisation of schools governance which in fact make them more vulnerable. They also think that the average Brummie Muslim kid doesn't deserve the racism that is blowing her way by a media that doesn't distinguish between Islamist activists and the whole community.
Some of these people could use some help understanding how to go forward. Wish you could write addressing them, not just the usual suspects on Twitter and Harry's place. I get that the left doesn't take Islamism seriously, but maybe you could help trying to change that.
