Thank you to everyone who came to my talk at the University of East Anglia last Tuesday, and especially those who either asked questions on the night or have sent comments to me since.
There are always two fears with such presentations - that you fall flat on your arse with some cock up and then lose it, or that none of the technology works and - and you then lose it. Thankfully neither happened. One mistake that I did make was in not recording the Q & A session. As the questions came in I started scribbling answers and therefore missed the second half of one or two of the contributions from the floor. You don't see them doing that on Question Time!
Two full years into the PhD and it does actually feel as if it is taking shape, although it is certainly a marathon rather than a sprint. Lets see what the next twelve months brings.
