"Let The Right One In" has achieved a huge amount - subtitled films do not usually get mainstream UK release, one's set in 1970s Sweden are usually less likely to do so. This film is beautifully filmed, and its two young stars are clearly very capable actors.
Oskar seems set to escape his unhappy childhood when he meets a new girl, Eli, in his neighbourhood. Sadly Eli is not quite what she seems, indeed she admits to having been 12 years old for a very long time. Whilst the attack scenes in the film are a little bit silly, the tone of the film is not weakened by some brief cheesiness.
