Who Feels It Knows It

Although he looks like a bit of a girls blouse, I have always enjoyed the football writing of The Telegraph's Henry Winter.

Yesterdays column on the comings and goings at Chelsea was masterful and contained this marvellous line from Chelsea supporter Jonathan Leeson to Roman Abramovich:

"Chelsea is in my blood and I will be at Stamford Bridge long after all of you have gone. I feel sorry for you - you will never have the passion and love for this club that we have."

As Winter correctly points out, Abramovich is merely the custodian of Chelsea - it is the fans who own it.
