No Hugging In Hackney!

And local worthies wonder why Hackney is always such an easy target for a cheap joke!

The Mossbourne Academy, the flagship Hackney school that replaced the 'failed' Hackney Downs school, has banned pupils from hugging. It seems 'Principal' Sir Michael Wilshaw believes hugging can encourage 'inappropriate behaviour' between boys and girls.

What could possibly be wrong with a good healthy hug? Be it between boys, girls or anyone else?

Is this 'Principal" on-loan from a school in Iran? Do we really want to live in a society that has no physical contact - even voluntary hugs - between children?
