Richard Dawkins Goes Into Battle

Turn to More 4 at 9pm this evening, for the ever combative Richard Dawkins examining The Enemies of Reason. 

I have not seen anything more than the reviews of this, but Dawkins apparently gets his teeth stuck into alternative therapies on the NHS, online conspiracy theories and psychic forecasting. 

A Depressing Sight

As if the Chilcot Inquiry into the Iraq war could not get any worse.........

Sky News live coverage this lunchtime - featured a report on the first mornings proceedings, accompanied by the backdrop of a lone activist waving the placard "America did 9/11, 7/7 for Oil." 

As this blog has said repeatedly: What Tony Blair and George W Bush have done in Iraq and Afghanistan is bad enough. Why criticise them for things they have not done? 

Is the Chilcot Inquiry damaged in any way, shape or form by such activities? Or does it serve as a distraction? 

Visitors to this blog should know our answer by now.

For All You Controlled Demolition Theorists.....

Tune in this evening for a one hour documentary on Channel 5. Megastructures: Built From Disaster, at 8pm.

The gist of the write-ups for this programme are that it will examine how engineering has been influenced by catastrophic events such as the attack on the  Twin Towers. Which of course is somewhat out of skilter with 'truth' arguments that significant figures in the world of architects and engineering don't actually believe the twin towers were brought down by planes at all.

If the 'truthers' are correct, why then, are architects and building plans taking what happened on 9/11 into account?
